Massive Beauty Haul

I have probably done a little bit too much shopping lately but I needed these items.....Who am I kidding?  I just wanted them! I read alot of blogs and often make decisions to try new products purely based on other peoples reviews about them.

These items have been purchased over the last month or so and so far I have been happy with all of them, but I will do individual reviews on these products over the next few weeks when I've given them a proper trial.

Liz Earle Daily Eye Repair - This states that it visibly reduces the appearance of fine lines around the eyes, mouth and forehead. It contains light reflecting particles to conceal and brighten dark under eye shadows.

Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask - Containing Plant Glycerin, Hyaluronic Acid and Apricot Kernel Oil this is an amazing treatment that leaves the skin feeling hydrated and soft.

Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream - this soothes skin irritations and helps with chapping, peeling and flaking through burns, sunburns, scrapes, abrasions and cracked lips.

L'Oreal 3 in 1 Purifying Micellar Solution - This dissolves make up, unclogs pores and removes any impurities and tones the skin.

Origins Intensive Moisture Treatment for Scalp and Hair - This strengthens and conditions the hair as well as soothing any scalp irritation.

Lush Mint Julips - A mint chocolate lip scrub, that buffs away any dead skin, leaving lips feeling soft.

Cosmopolitan Tweezers Set - Containing a flat, pointed and angled tip tweezers.

Real Techniques Expert Face Brush and Stippling Brush - Uses include applying foundation, powder, bronzer and blusher.

Caudalie Beauty Elixir - This applies essential oils to the skin which refreshes and brightens.

YSL Rouge Volupte Shine - I reviewed this recently here

MAC Cremesheen in shade Lavender Whip - A beautiful colour and a formulation that leaves the lips feeling hydrated.

MAC Eye Shadow in Satin Taupe - A lovely bronze/brown colour, has fast become my favourite eye shadow due to the pigmentation and lasting effects.

Bourjois Bronzing Powder - This looks and smells like a bar of chocolate, it is my first ever bronzer so I'm still experimenting with it at the moment.

Estee Lauder Double Wear Light - I reviewed this recently here

Collection Lasting Perfection in the shade 2 Light - Conceals flaws and blemishes for up to 16 hours.

Rimmel Clear Complexion Clarifying Powder in Transparent - Controls shine and mattifies skin.

Dainty Doll Blusher in shade 001 - A beautiful pale pink colour.

Nars Blusher in Deep Throat - A gorgeous coral colour with finely milled gold particles.

Nars Eye Shadow in Himalayas - When you look at the colour it looks like an off pearly white, but a swatch of it reveals a beautiful pinky lilac shimmer. I fell in love with this instantly but no matter how I try I cannot pick the colour up on photographs!

Barry M Gelly Nail Paint in Lychee, Greenberry and Papaya - Lovely spring/ summer shades and a lovely formula leaves the nails with a glossy finish.

Essie Nail Lacquer in  Cascade Cool and Bikini So Teeny - These colours are so summery, I can't wait to try them!

So that ends my rather large haul, I think I better rein myself in now and stop with the lusting......until next time!!

Have you tried any of these products? What beauty products have you been trying lately?

Estée Lauder Experience

I was in Debenhams the other day browsing the make up counters as you do, when I was approached by an Estée Lauder Beauty Advisor. She asked if I would like to be colour matched for their foundation range and because this was something I had been considering only the other day, I jumped at the chance!
First she took off all my make-up with a cleanser, she then toned and moisturised my face before getting her charts out. She discussed my skin type and asked what I was looking for in a foundation and to be truthful, I didn't really know myself, so she talked me through all of the Estée Lauder ranges explaining how they worked and I thought that the Double Wear Light seemed perfect for me as its a light- medium, but build-able coverage with SPF 10 and (I was told) it would last up to 15 hours. The Advisor thought I would be the lightest colour, Intensity 1.0 as I have very pale skin, but she tried the two lightest to be sure and told me that the perfect one for me would sink in to my skin so much so that I wouldn't be able to see it. Once she'd applied the two, she showed me the effects in the mirror and it was obvious that the lightest shade was the definite colour for me. She told me that I had a cool skin tone and that would be helpful to know when buying blushers and lipsticks in the future.
We discussed how best to apply foundation and I was really impressed with, how although we spoke about the Estée Lauder brush range, she did not push me to buy any. She asked if she could finish my look off and applied some concealer, blusher and lipstick. I was so impressed with the foundation and I could tell by the way that it sat on my skin, that this was by far the best foundation I had ever tried ( there was no product sitting in my dry skin patches at all) so I delved straight into my purse and bought it! I was also given a sample mascara and concealer which I have enjoyed using too.
I have only ever had experiences before where I have felt pushed to buy or have come away with colours that are far too dark for me, but can happily say that my Estée Lauder experience was really positive and they are a brand I will go back to time and time again, in particular the Advisor I saw was so lovely and informative that I will seek her out on my next visit for further advice. My one and only complaint would be the packaging of the foundation, considering that it cost £27.50 I would have expected a glass bottle and not a plastic tube!
